My name is Adrienne. I am a non-drinker (as of June 2014), a non-smoker (as of June 2013 and then again in January 2016) and a repeat dieter who has been self-conscious about my weight for as long as I can remember.
In July 2015 I got hooked on weight lifting. The main reason I started was to lose weight. Eventually, without even noticing my focus shifted. It’s less about losing weight and vanity now as it is about how I feel, what I’m able to achieve and what’s easy that used to be difficult. I still stand on the scale, I still keep measurements but it’s not my primary focus. Now I just want to see what I am capable of. I want to stay busy with healthy activities. I’ve started jogging, playing tennis on the weekends, doing some YouTube yoga videos and I signed up for a 5k. I no longer want to be the thinnest I can be, I want to be the strongest and the healthiest.
This blog is where I share photos, recipes that are completely sugar and sweetener (natural or otherwise) free, work outs, and stories of success, struggles, defeats and victories. I share it because I hope to motivate others and keep myself accountable. Plus, whether I’ve changed or not I’m still extraordinarily vain, conceited and self-centered so why wouldn’t people want to read about me?! 😉
Please follow, like and subscribe. I would be happy to answer any questions about my fitness routine’s and/or diet. I also have a very cool career as a Travel Agent so if you see a random travel post from time to time and have questions about that let me know!
Thanks for reading 🙂
