Fitness Friday-Goals

Every time I’ve ever started exercising/dieting before it was strictly for weight loss. My goals did not involve anything except looking thinner. I’ve put that on the back burner. Instead of caring so much about the scale and my appearance I’m focused on getting stronger. I want to be able to grab a bar and do ten pull ups like it’s easy. I want to be able to do 20 pushups without breaking I sweat. I want to be able to do basic things like rearrange furniture, lift boxes, play tennis or go kayaking without feeling like my arms are going to fall off.

I pushed myself hard this week. I went up in weight on almost every work out and added triceps pushdowns. I dead lifted 80 pounds and then I got this crazy idea to do a Jillian Michael’s workout on a rest day. Something about weight lifting has left me wanting more. I sit at work and think about working out. I don’t want to take days off. I think this is the way fitness is supposed to be.

My goals for the end of the year:
Bench: 100 pounds (dumbbells) (3 sets of 8)
Squat: 110 pounds (dumbbells) (3 sets of 8)
Dead Lift: 110 pounds (dumbbells) (3 sets of 8)
Pull ups: 10
Push Ups: 20

Since I forgot to take pictures again these e-cards will have to suffice.
